Délices de Faty Traiteur collects personal information in order to organise catering services and masterclasses. This page explains what we collect, why, who it is shared with, and how to have it corrected or deleted.

Who to contact

For any question about your personal information — to access it, correct it or have it deleted — write to bonjour@fatytraiteur.com. We answer within thirty days, as the law requires.

What we collect, and why

When you request a booking: your name, your email or phone number, the date, time and place of the event, the number of guests, and whatever you tell us. Without this we can neither prepare your event nor reply to you.

When you register for a masterclass: the same, plus the number of seats and, if you give them, the first names of the people joining you — they go on the aprons.

When you pay: the amount, the method (transfer, cash, cheque), the date and, if there is one, the transaction reference. We never see or store any card number: no card payment goes through this site.

When you receive a certificate: your name, the class title and its date, copied onto the document.

If you create an account: your email address and password. The password is handled by our host and we never see it.

We also keep internal notes of what we discuss by phone or in person, so you never have to repeat yourself. Those notes are visible only to us.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information with anyone.

This site carries no analytics, no advertising trackers and no social media buttons. Nobody knows you came here except us.

Who else has access

Four providers keep this site running. They use your information only to provide us that service.

  • Supabase hosts the database and the files. Our data is stored in Canada, in the Montreal region.
  • Resend sends the confirmation and follow-up emails. This company is based in the United States: your name and email address pass through it with every message.
  • Vercel hosts the pages of this site. This company is also based in the United States.
  • ImprovMX forwards to our inbox the emails sent to any @fatytraiteur.com address. What you write to us therefore passes through its servers, outside Quebec.

Those last three transfers leave Quebec. You may ask us to contact you by means other than email if that concerns you.

How long we keep it

Event files, registrations and certificates are kept for as long as the business operates: a certificate must remain verifiable years later, and an invoice must remain explainable.

The payment ledger and the change log are permanent and unalterable — that is what makes them proof.

You may ask for your information to be deleted at any time. We will then keep only the minimum that accounting law requires.

Cookies

This site sets one kind of cookie only: the one that keeps you signed in, if you create an account. It disappears when you sign out. No other cookie is set.

Your rights

Quebec law gives you the right to access your information, to have it corrected, to ask for its deletion, to withdraw your consent, and to obtain a copy in a machine-readable format.

Write to bonjour@fatytraiteur.com and we will take care of it.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
